Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed on FitnessNeeds.Shop.

 

1. Processing and Handling

 

  • Processing Time: All certified refurbished equipment requires detailed inspection, testing, and secure palletizing. Orders typically require 5 to 10 business days for processing before shipment.

  • Shipping Method: Due to the size and weight of our commercial equipment (e.g., the Life Fitness Treadmill's 479 lbs gross weight), all orders are shipped via LTL (Less Than Truckload) Freight Carrier. Standard Parcel services are not used.

  • Delivery Service and Customer Responsibilities

     

    • Curb-Side Delivery (Standard): Our standard shipping service includes delivery to the curb, driveway, or loading dock of the delivery address.

      • Unloading: The customer is responsible for moving the machine from the curb/driveway into their residence or facility. This requires adequate manpower, a pallet jack, or a furniture dolly.

    • Liftgate Service: If required for unloading from the truck, a liftgate service must be requested and paid for at checkout. Without a liftgate, the customer must manually remove the item from the truck.

    • Delivery Scheduling: The freight carrier will contact the customer by phone to schedule a delivery appointment (usually a 4-hour window). The customer must be present to sign for the delivery.

    • Failed Delivery: If a delivery is missed or delayed due to the customer's absence, re-delivery fees will be charged to the customer.

    Inspection and Damage Reporting (CRITICAL)

     

    This is the most critical section for large freight items:

    • Immediate Inspection: The customer MUST inspect the entire shipment (including the packaging and product) for any signs of damage before signing the delivery receipt (Bill of Lading).

    • Document Damage: If any damage (crushes, tears, holes, etc.) is noted, it MUST be clearly documented and signed off on the Bill of Lading by both the customer and the delivery driver.

    • Consequences of Non-Documentation: Failure to document damage on the Bill of Lading absolves the freight carrier of liability and will severely limit our ability to assist with a return, claim, or replacement.

    • Estimated Delivery Time

       

      • Total estimated time from order placement to delivery is typically 10–20 business days (5–10 days processing + 5–10 days transit). Transit times vary based on destination.
